SHIFF is a debut film festival that has been held in Kragujevac since 2016. The festival is one of the few in Europe, which was conceived as a platform for the most notable debut achievements of young authors, in the year that is coming to an end. It shows an international program and is of a competitive nature. ŠIFF awards prizes to:

1. Award to the director, for the best debut film. The winner is determined by the audience.
2. National Assembly Award – AFIFS Award in two categories:

• for life’s work and
• for the best edited film,
• award for minority co-production – The winner is determined by an expert jury – Editors “Association of Editors of Serbia”.

The festival is also known for the contact between the audience and professionals from the world of film, forums, talks with the audience, professional masterclasses, regional conferences, exhibitions, book promotions, and workshops for children. The accompanying part of the program shows short films – National Class.
